Well, I am actually saying this to the world...the big 40 has came and went. How does it feel?? everyone keeps asking. I thought it would be more difficult that it actually has been. At 40 I feel as though I am in a better spot than what I was years ago. Here is what I have realized:

1. Some say you "come into your own". I have realized and acknowledged who I am and what I want. Life is too short to be unhappy and just go through the motions of your daily life. At 40 you need to make decisions that will affect the rest of your life.

2. I am actually happy with myself! I am not sure when, if ever, I could have truly said that. I like where I am physically (the best shape of my life); emotionally (I am no longer willing to "stuff" or hide my feeling; spiritually (I feel like I have a relationship with God and He has plans for me that I must accept); as a parent (I know that I must be true to my kids and keep their needs as a priority); professionally (I love what I do- educating the public on sexuality through my website and home parties); sexually (I know what my body likes and how to satisfy that need) and socially (I feel like I have a great core group of friends that support me and love me regardless).

DO I have it all figured out??? Hell no! But I am reawakening what has been hidden away for such a long time. May 2008 be the year that you awaken too! We all deserve to be happy so seek it out dammit!

Some Days

There are days (I am sure that most of you can relate) where this picture says it all! That is precisely when I want to say "CALGON" WHERE THE F*CK ARE YOU???

I love my kids and I love my husband but I do miss my freedom. And when I say freedom I mean not responding to the endless "mom"; the PTA meetings; the school volunteering; the "work" activities that you need to attend; the "what's for dinner?"; the "I don't like this."...and I could go on and on for days.

What is the solution we ask ourselves. My personal solution has to do with medication, alcohol, music, a "friend" and some batteries or "working out at the gym". Now these keep me sane!

So smile at someone that you are pissing off; the Walmart clerk who is disgruntled, the McDonalds worker who clearly is unhappy to be where he is, or the guy who clearly has road rage because he is "SO IMPORTANT" that he needs to ride on the shoulder to get to his destination. That's right smile a big teethy one and I guarantee it will brighten someone's day as well as your own.
